The only thing it's missing is a buried ball scenario, but for chipping practice on multiple surfaces in the backyard, into a net, this is great. Great for long irons too.It can move on you, if you really swing down on a ball with full swing.

There are many hitting mats out there - some good, some really bad. This is one of the good ones.It starts with a solid foundation - a thick rubber base that stays put and should last. It “hinges”: so that you can fold it for storage or travel to the range. There are three different turf types: 1) a “tight lie” or putting green surface,; 2) a “fairway” surface if fairly normal length; and 3) a “rough” that is fairly realistic. There is even some “grain” where the fibers lean in one direction, so that you get more or less resistance and “flyer” lies.After several days of use, it is apparent that this mat simulates many course conditions very well. Judging by the impacts so far, it should hold up for regular practice, maybe 2-3 times a week.This mat is solid and well made, and should provide very good simulation and game improvement.

This product is great when you do not have time to get to a course. During the pandemic when courses were closed, I was able to practice my swing on different forms of "grass" without ruining my own grass. When I was able to get onto a course, I notice my chip shots were better because of this training mat. This training matt gave me the ability to use many clubs and find the one I am comfortable with depending on the thickness of the grass.My kids even started to use it for fun and it turned Golf into one of their favorite sport to play.

Works great, has 3 different types of surfaces to hit off and 3 different size tees you can use if you choose. I have used it only with foam balls for practice while golf courses have been closed, but whether I hit into a net or into to yard I have great results without messing up the yard. Additionally, the mat is very thick and so you don't have to worry about damaging your club even if you use in the garage because for some reason there is 4 inches of snow and you need some space from the family. Highly recommend and can't beat the price!!
